On June 21, 2022, we will be holding a Solstice Celebration with workshops, solar cooking, music and a community picnic.
Solstice Kitchen is a non-extractive mobile kitchen powered by the sun: solar cooking, fermentation, dehydration, hand-grinding and rain catchment. During the week of the summer solstice, cooks, educators, and small businesses from the community will be hosting workshops and cooking demonstrations in Brower Park. Designed by Lily Consuelo Saporta Tagiuri with George Bliss (WheelAbout) and John Tagiuri, the cart is constructed with upcycled materials sourced around New York City.
